Responding to the Net Zero Growth Plan and the Energy Security Plan, Keith O’Connor, Founder and CEO of Fleetsolve said:
“A diversified energy mix will be crucial to achieve a secure, net zero energy supply for the UK – so we welcome this clear intent from government to invest in clean energy across a range of technologies.
“We also welcome the extension of the Industrial Energy Transformation Fund – providing much needed decarbonisation support for some of our most important UK industries.
“It is however disappointing to see few announcements related to business energy efficiency – and we are optimistic that the forthcoming Action Plan from the new Energy Efficiency Taskforce will address this challenge for UK businesses.
“Public and private sector organisations alike have a significant role to play in ensuring that the UK reaches net zero – and we are poised to continue to help these organisations grasp the opportunities this presents.”
